A new video recording from CBM News shows the start of the fire which completely consumed an electric RATP bus on Friday 29 April.
A small explosion on the top of the bus, where the battery compartment is located, started the fire.
It took a matter of moments before the entire bus went up in flames.
Parisian firefighters arrived shortly after this video ended to put the fire out.
Reuters reported that the public transport operator (RATP) in Paris temporarily suspended on the use of 149 electric buses made by Bollore's Bluebus brand after two of the vehicles caught fire.
"The RATP has requested a full report from the manufacturer Bollore to explain the causes of these incidents," the state-owned transport company said in a statement.
